Target retirement funds
These BlackRock LifePath PaycheckTM funds have a target date in the name of the fund that is intended to reflect the approximate year that a participant attains age 65. The BlackRock LifePath Paycheck funds include:
- Funds that are designed for those younger than age 55 years old.
- Funds that are designed for those who are ages 55 to 71 years old (“BlackRock LifePath Paycheck Income funds”).
- Funds that are designed for retirement and/or post-annuitization.
The asset mix for the BlackRock LifePath Paycheck funds may include group annuity contracts issued by selected insurers. These group annuity contracts will provide participants with the option to use money from the Plan accounts to purchase a lifetime income stream from BlackRock—selected insurers starting at age 59½ in accordance with specified rules. Investment in these funds is limited to participants whose birthdays fall within the date of birth ranges shown in the chart below.
Please note: By electing to invest your account in a BlackRock LifePath Paycheck fund designed for investors your age, you are authorizing, when applicable, the following transfer(s) of your investment in such BlackRock LifePath Paycheck fund:
- To the BlackRock LifePath Paycheck fund designed for investors your age on or around the third Friday of January in the year in which you turn 55.
- To the BlackRock LifePath Paycheck 40-60 fund on or around the second Friday in December in the year in which you turn age 71.
These transfers will not take place if you have moved your balance and/or provided an alternative investment direction before the change is scheduled to occur, or you are not invested in a BlackRock LifePath Paycheck fund designed for investors your age. You will be provided with a reminder prior to the applicable change. These funds are the default investment option for AHRP’s 403(b) and 401(a) Plans if you don’t make an investment election. When used as the default investment, contributions will be directed based on your date of birth provided to Fidelity Investments. The following chart was provided by BlackRock.
